Ray of Light Farm is an active working farm that promotes partnership and healing through animal assisted learning. We can offer life skill opportunities in the various aspects of farm work, retail opportunities at the gift and tack store, and some special event work at our annual functions.

What we ask of you; the client, or case manager:

• All life skill participants need a case manager, or coach, to accompany them while working at the farm.

• For our intake paperwork, we will perform an assessment of each applicant to assure proper placement, safety, and success in our programs. The assessment and initial paperwork will will take approximately one half hour of time. Their assessment will be performed by our therapy director, and or staff, at a one time cost of $45.00 The assessment will look at: 

  • core strength

  • stability

  • ability to follow directions

  • and behaviors

  • case manager input and participants goals

• A signed release by the participant, legal guardian, and case manager

• Contact information for the participant and case manager

• Medical and insurance information

• Understand our No Cell Phone Use while at the farm

• Case managers must be with the participants at all times

• Case managers must maintain line of sight at all times with their participants

• For groups, no more than six participants to one case manager

• All groups must make a courtesy call to confirm arrival, or cancellations, so that we can plan the work for the day
